Junior Works Engineer (Housing)

A. Infrastructure

  • Conduct inspection for any existing structure/s, trees, vegetation, waterways, natural area drains, maximum flood levels, security issues/concerns and other planning, design and construction inputs.
  • Report to Project Management Office Head with regards to actual boundary issues/concerns.
  • Check, inspect and accept turnover of stakes, reference, elevations and monuments from the surveyor in accordance to the approved site development plans.
  • Review plans, Inspection & Monitoring of site preparation including clearing, grubbing, rough grading (cut, haul, spreading & compaction), fine grading & disposal of excess/unsuitable materials.
  • Implement approved Site Management Plan.
  • Inspection of road works preparation prior to concreting as per design & specification & monitoring of concreting of road works.
  • Approve “inspection forms” request from the contractor.
  • Conduct sampling of concrete & witness the testing of concrete sample to ensure that concrete attained the required strength/designed strength & number of days.
  • Monitoring/inspection of construction of humps, street signs, traffic signs, gutters, manhole, flood testing including hydro testing for waterline system.
  • Monitoring & construction of manhole & drainage and ensure that the sizes, elevation & location are accordance to the land Development plans & specification.
  • Review Meralco Master Plan, Recommend Meter banking Location & Assisting Meralco for installation of electric post.
  • Prepares & submits accomplishment reports and billings.
  • Ensures accomplishment within given schedule and desired quality results.
  • Evaluates, Estimates and implement approved budget on additional works, change orders, maintenance and deferred items on Land Development mother budget.
  • Check actual resource loading requirements and address issues to the concerned individuals.
  • Attend regular coordination and staff meetings.  

B. For Amenities/Facilities/Utilities

  • Identify location of monuments & establish correct layout, staking & finish elevation prior to excavation.
  • Implementation/Supervision of construction as per approved plans, design & specification such as elevated water tank, meralco facilities, clubhouse, covered court, swimming pool, etc.
  • Regular coordination with the PMO Head, Contractor and others concerned with regards to project implementation.
  • Approve “inspection forms” request from the contractor.
  • Require concrete sampling and other mandatory laboratory testing.
  • Prepares and submits accomplishment reports and billing.
  • Monitors completion of punch list and require contractor to submit As Built Plans for the completed works prior to retention billing.
  • Completion of minimum Amenities/Facilities/Utilities requirements prior to PAG-IBIG Inspection.
  • Prepare cost to complete items for project turn over purposes.
  • Turnover to Village Admin As-Built Plans and completed projects.
